Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Orchestra (Innisai Kacheri) scheduled to be held on 09.02.2017 at 10.00 p.m to 01.00 a.m. in "Theppa Ursava vizha" at Arulmighu Siva Saila Natha Swamy Temple, Alwarkurichi, Tirunelveli District. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Sivakumar For Respondents : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Orchestra on 09.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

3.It is seen from the records that on 22.01.2017, a representation has been given to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Alwarkurichi Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to look into the representation dated 22.01.2017 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
