Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S-20. To issue a writ of Certiorari to call for the records of 3rd respondent pertaining to the impugned order dated 23-02-2021 vide Na.Ka.No.006/2020/A2 and quash the same.
ORDER : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.H.ARUMUGAM, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.A.ARUL JENIFER, Advocate on behalf of the Respondents, the Court made the following order:- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
WMP(MD) No.11671 of 2021 It is submitted by the leaned counsel for the petitioner that the order was made ready on 03.05.2021 and the same was received on 10.05.2021. In view of the Election to State Assembly 2021, Election Commission has announced Model Code of Conduct for Assembly Election 2021 on 26.02.2021, the same was in force till 06.05.2021. Subsequently, the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced full lockdown on 09.05.2021 and thereafter only on 14.06.2021, the Government has relaxed the lockdown and the TASMAC shops were opened. Therefore, the petitioner seeks further extension of time for a period of 30 days for initiating domestic enquiry as directed by this Court in the aforesaid Writ Petition.
2. This Court is satisfied with the reasons as stated in the affidavit, wherein it is stated that due to Covid -19, the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced full lockdown on 09.05.2021 and thereafter only on 14.06.2021 the Government has relaxed the lockdown and the TASMAC shops were opened. Therefore, this court grants an extension of time for a further period of 30 days for completing the domestic enquiry as directed by this court.
3. Accordingly, petition is ordered.
