ORDER
The Petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the Petitioner in Na.Ka.Pi4 - 14798 -16 - 1, dated 17.10.2016, within the time limit fixed by this Court.
2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.The case of the Petitioner is that he owns lands measuring an extent of 19 1⁄2 cents in S.No.86/1B and 35 cents in S.No.86/6B in Othapanaiyenthal, Enathi Village, sivagangai District. over the same, the Petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 21,8,2015 and the same was numbered as Na.Ka.Pi4 147908-16-1, dated 17.10.2016. Since there is no progress for more than one year, the present Writ Petition is filed. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the Petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the Petitioner in Na.Ka.Pi4 147908-16-1, dated 17.10.2016.on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders on the same, after giving notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
