PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.06.2022 issue Patta No.171 in S.F.No.67 with an extent of 2-86.50 Hectares-Aers at Varthagarettipatti Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, Thoothukudi District in favour of Arulmigu Sri Ulagamman Temple.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The case on hand pertains to the property comprised in S.F.No.67 measuring 2-86.50 Hectares-Aers (7 Acres and 7 Cents) in Varthagarettipatti Village, Thoothukudi Taluk. The petitioner's grievance is that the revenue records should reflect the name of the Temple alone.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent submits that the civil suit is already pending in this regard.

4. It is stated that the suit was filed for permanent injunction. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 produced the 'A'-Register extract. It is seen from the 'A'-Register extract that the property is in the name of Varthagarettipatti Ulagamman Temple. Therefore, no exception can be taken to the writ prayer. The third respondent is directed to ensure that in the revenue records, the name of the Temple alone is reflected.
