Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to accept petitioner's undertaking and direct the respondent to find out two passport Mohideen Nazzer No.J5548664 and his son name Mohamed Supion No.L 9871096 or giving missing certificate (untraceable certificate).

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to accept the petitioner's undertaking and direct the respondents to trace the passport of the petitioner and his son or to issue missing certificate to the effect that the passports are lost.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the passport bearing No.J5548664, dated 08.06.2011 was issued to the

petitioner and similarly, a passport bearing No.L9871096, dated 18.06.2014 was issued to the petitioner's son. It is stated that the petitioner and his son lost their original passport. Though a complaint was made, the passports could not be traced. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation to the Superintendent of Police in this regard. It is stated that the respondents 2 and 3 have not given clear picture. It is in these circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court for the relief stated above. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following directions: The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
