ORDER

By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. Mr.R.Prabhu Ramachandran, learned Counsel, takes notice for the respondent.

2. The petitioner, who is a fifth class contractor having licence No.k.bgh.4/10256/17, was given some contract works by the respondent and the petitioner completed the same, to the satisfaction of the respondent. For the said works, the petitioner deposited a sum of Rs.2,25,056/- before the respondent and even after completion of all the works, the respondent failed to refund the deposited amount and aggrieved thereby, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.09.2017 to the respondent and as the same is kept pending, without any action, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned

Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if his representation is disposed of by the respondent, within a stipulated time period, in the manner known to law.

4. Considering the limited scope of the relief now sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
