Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2017 and thereby direct the respondents to grant the Patta to the land in Survey No.244/8 to the extent of 12 cents and Survey No.61 to the extent of 20 cents situated at Ayyana Goundanpatti, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 03.04.2017. 2.Mr.G.Muthukannan , learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that his father purchased 12 cents in S.No.244/8 through a registered sale deed dated 02.02.1972 and he passed away on 28.03.1996. Thereafter, the said property was inherited by the petitioner and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same.

4.The petitioner would further state that he gave a representation to the first respondent on 03.04.2017 to issue patta in his favour and also paid necessary fees. The first respondent also forwarded the said application to the second respondent to take necessary action. But subsequently, there is no progress, hence, the present writ petition. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 03.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
