The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to change classification of the petitioner land from Aanadheenam to Punchai.
2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, he owns a land to an extent of 0.64 cents in Survey No.2/6 situated at K.Karisalkulam village, Kariyapattai Taluk, Virudhunagar District by virtue of a sale deed dated 04.04.2008.

UDR Scheme, it was wrongly classified as Aanadheenam. Hence, he sent a representation to the first respondent on 09.09.2017 to rectify the said mistake. Since no action was taken, the present writ petition.
5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that reclassification of the land can be done by the District Collector, but there is no representation to the competent authority and he has not impleaded as the respondent in this writ petition.
6.In the light of the above facts, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the District Collector, Virdhunagar, by enclosing a copy of this order. On such compliance, the District Collector, Virudhunagar, shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks therefrom.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
