ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to grant 60 days ordinary leave to the petitioner (C.P.No.23170) who is undergone for more than thirty years of imprisonment, as per Rule 40 of Tamilnadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, by considering his representation dated 02.09.2024 and 04.11.2024 and Reminder dated 22.04.2025.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on the representation dated 04.11.2024, the petitioner had earlier
approached this Court in W.P(MD)No.30139 of 2024 and this Court by order dated 18.12.2024 had granted ordinary leave for 40 days from 21.12.2024 to 29.01.2025. Subsequently, he has also filed a fresh writ petition in W.P(MD)No. 2166 of 2025 seeking for extension of leave by 2 days and that was also granted by this Court, vide order dated 29.01.2025 and as such the representation dated 04.11.2024 has been complied with and the prayer has now become infructuous. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would further submit that if at all the petitioner makes a request for further leave, he has to file a fresh representation. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition stands closed.
