************ By the consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give electricity connection to the petitioner's house constructed in the petitioner's land in Survey No.340/4 at Koodankulam Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District bounded by (North) Perumal Nadar Land (South) East West Common Pathway (West) Muthuraj Site (East) Selvaraj land by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2017.
3.The petitioner was the selected beneficiary under the Koodankulam Atomic Plant surrounding village development scheme. As per the scheme, subsidy amount of sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) was given to the petitioner for construction of the house with a condition that the petitioner should complete the construction of house utilizing the subsidy amount and the remaining amount shall be spent from his fund.
4.Accordingly, the petitioner has completed the construction of the house using the subsidy amount and also by spending some of his own fund. The petitioner has also got a certificate from the Village Administrative Officer to fortify the fact that he is the absolute owner of the property and that there is a pathway to the said house. Thereafter, the petitioner gave an application to the first respondent to get Electricity Service Connection to his house. The petitioner had also given a representation to the respondents on 07.09.2017. Since, the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner is before this Court with the present writ petition.
4.Mr.G.Kasinadurai, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents sought sufficient time to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2017. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2017, and pass orders on merits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
