PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to measure and issue the patta of the petitioner's daughter-in-law 8 cents land which is situated at Bombay Chola Road in Kodaikanal Municipality, Dindigul District in Old Survey No.258 and New Survey No.Ward B, Block No.27, T.S.No.12/1 among in Plot No.10 only 5 cents i.e., 2180 square feet and 203 square meter vacant place and consequently for in another 3 cents in the same area in the old S.No.258 and New S.No.Ward B, Block No.27, T.S.No.12/1 among in the Plot No.6 only 3 cents i.e., 1308 square feet 122 square meter and on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2017. The petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to measure and issue the patta in respect of the land, which is situated at Bombay Chola Road in Kodaikanal Municipality, Dindigul District in Old Survey No.258 and New Survey No.Ward B, Block No.27, T.S.No.12/1 among in Plot No.10 only 5 cents i.e., 2180 square feet and 203 square meter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard Mr.E.Somasundaram, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records.

3. The case of the petitioner is one Mrs.Elizabeth Vasanthi, w/o. Thillainathan is the owner of the property in survey numbers referred supra and the petitioner is a power agent. The petitioner approached the respondents on 09.09.2017 to measure the land and issue patta in favour of the owner. Subsequently, on 09.09.2017, he made representation to the respondents. Since no action was taken, this writ petition has been filed.

4. In the light of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to take appropriate action on the representation of the petitioner dated 09.09.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order after providing opportunity to the necessary parties.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
