PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 herein to take necessary action for grant of opening of the Arulmigu Angala Eswari Temple situated at Survey No.36/3B, Elayirampannai Village, Sattur Takuk, Virudhunagar by complying with the orders of the 4th respondent dated 14.12.2020 on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed as against the respondents 1 to 5 herein to take necessary action to open the Arulmigu Angala Eswari Temple by complying with the orders of the 4th respondent dated 14.12.2020, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2023

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instruction from the respondent police submits that they have not closed the temple 2/5

and it is the petitioner who had locked the temple.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not closed the temple.

4. Considering the rival submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Virudhunagar District, to break the lock and allow the villagers to perform their poojas. In the event if anybody take the law into their hands, it is always open to the respondent police to register a case as against the concerned person. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall open the temple forthwith. The parties shall workout their remedies before the appropriate civil Court.
