ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner's daughter was given in marriage to one Raja. The petitioner sought financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme. The petitioner's request was negatived by the fourth respondent by order dated 21.10.2016. The same is under challenge in this Writ Petition.
3. As per the condition stipulated in the said Scheme, the applicant must make an online request forty days prior to the wedding date. But in this case the application was made 5 months after the marriage was solemnized. It is also seen that the petitioner's daughter became pregnant before marriage. It is further seen that the case on hand is a bigamous marriage. Therefore, the fourth respondent rightly held that the petitioner is not eligible to receive any financial assistance under the said Scheme. No interference is warranted. There is no merit in the writ petition, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
