2.The petitioner seeks cancellation of patta said to be stand in the names of Thiru.Rajalingam and Thiru.Kanthasamy. The petitioner has to approach the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer for this relief. The petitioner is given such liberty. On such cancellation petition / appeal being filed, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Karur shall dispose of the petition / appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. The interested parties will have to be necessarily heard before the final order is passed. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

3.With this liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
