PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent No.4 to withdraw the case in Crime No.55 of 2022 on the file of the respondent No.5 dated 29.04.2022 and entrust the same to the respondent No.3 for an investigation of the case by a Competent Officer and file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate within the time stipulated by this Court. For petitioner : Ms.T.Seeni Syed Amma for for Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy For Respondents : Mr.B.Nambiselvan Additional Public Prosecutor O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the fourth respondent Police to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.55 of 2022 pending on the file of the fifth respondent Police to the file of the third respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the fifth respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report within a time stipulated by this Court and directs the third respondent Police to monitor the investigation conducted by the fifth respondent Police.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the fifth respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.55 of 2022 and file a final report within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The third respondent Police is directed to monitor the investigation conducted by the fifth respondent Police.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
