Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely "Aadal Paadal" scheduled to be held on 23.05.2025 at 08.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m. in connection with "Vaigasi Festival" of Arulmigu Maha Parameshwari Mariyamman Temple at Muthu Kamatchi Kalairangam, Kalaignar Nagar, Old Batlagundu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2025.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely "Aadal Paadal" scheduled to be held on 23.05.2025 at 08.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m. in connection with "Vaigasi Festival" of Arulmigu Maha Parameshwari Mariyamman Temple at Muthu Kamatchi Kalairangam, Kalaignar Nagar, Old Batlagundu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2025.

2.Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 17.05.2025 seeking permission to conduct Aadal Paadal dance program on 23.05.2025 in Arulmigu Maha Parameshwari Mariyamman Temple at Muthu Kamatchi Kalairangam, Kalaignar Nagar, Old Batlagundu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 2/4

Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.05.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 22.05.2025.
