Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 18.03.2020 for transfer and posting to the vacant post of Block Education Officer at T.Kallupatti Block, Madurai District and pass orders by taking note of the fact of not conducting the regular transfer counseling for the category of Block Educational Officer in the academic year 2019-2020 as per schedule within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 18.03.2020, for transfer and posting to the vacant place at T.Kallupatti Block, Madurai District, within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the counseling for the Block Educational Officers was scheduled on 18.11.2019 and due to some inconvenience on administrative side, the counseling was 1/3
adjourned without mentioning any date. Thereafter, due to COVID-19 Pandemic situation, the counseling could not be held and as such, the post of Block Educational Officer at T.Kallupatti in Madurai District is till vacant. Therefore, the petitioner has lost his opportunity to make a request in the general counseling and hence, he made a representation to the respondents 2 and 3, on 18.03.2020, wherein he requested to consider him for transfer and posting to the vacant place at T.Kallupatti Blcok, Madurai District. But, the respondents 2 and 3 have not taken any steps to consider the same and hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.
3. Mr.A.Thiagarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2020, will be considered by the second respondent on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
