Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.

2. Issuance of notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

3. Sakkarathai passed away on 26.10.2023. The petitioner claims to be her daughter. She wants issuance of legal heir certificate. It appears that the petitioner's father is living separately on account of difference of opinion and he is not extending his cooperation. In these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed. 4.The petitioner applied to the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to hold an enquiry and issue legal heir certificate based on the materials available. The first respondent shall not reject the petitioner's case merely on account of the non-cooperation of the second respondent. The issue will be independently considered and final order 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.13640 OF 2024 on merits will be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
