ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.SRIMATHY,J.) The writ petitioner is the sister of the life convict and for attending serious illness of her mother, she has sought for twenty(20) days emergency leave to the convict through her representation dated 02.05.2025. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, states that the representation of the petitioner has been considered in accordance with law and twenty(20) days emergency leave without escort may be granted to the life convict to attend the serious illness of his mother. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further states that the detenue may inform the prison authority about the convenient period for which he wants twenty days emergency leave for the purpose of attending serious illness of his mother.
3.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the purpose for which the leave sought, this Court is of the opinion
that the brother of the petitioner shall be granted emergency leave for twenty days without escort to attend serious illness of his mother. 4.With the above observation and direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
