O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to conclude the investigation by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2023 within the time stipulated as prescribed by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that based upon the representation given by the petitioner, enquiry was undertaken. During the course of enquiry, it was found that the tasmac shop supervisor was selling the liquor at higher rates and therefore, the representation was forwarded to the District Manager of Tasmac for further enquiry and the same is kept pending for consideration.

3. Insofar as the criminal complaint is concerned, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that no further action is required and with regard to the selling of higher price, enquiry will be undertaken by the concerned Officer. 2/4

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the concerned Officer to conclude the enquiry within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, shall take further action if found to be true.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
