PRAYER:Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.04.2017 to cancel the fraudulent transfer of patta issued in favour of respondents 2 to 4 in respect of petitioner's patta land in Colachel Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District.

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.04.2017 to cancel the fraudulent transfer of patta issued in favour of respondents 2 to 4 in respect of petitioner's patta land in Colachel Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District. 2.Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that aggrieved over the order of the Tashildar, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent in the month of April 2017, but for the past five months, there is no progress, hence, the present writ petition.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition and also considering the grievance of the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 10.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity to all the necessary parties, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
