By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Kasinathadurai, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the subject mentioned property and there is a Well in his land. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though he applied for electricity https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

service connection under Raepjp rpwg;g Kd;Dhpik scheme, for his agricultural pump set and had also paid the required fee, the respondents had kept his application pending, without passing any orders, right from the year 2012, which constrained him to file this petition.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if the application of the petitioner dated 21.08.2012 is disposed of by the respondents, within a stipulated time limit, in the manner known to law.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited scope of the relief sought, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 21.08.2012 and pass appropriate orders, if not already passed, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
