ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanthapuram to expedite the trial in STC No.150 of 2020 and to complete the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 19.08.2021, submission was made by the learned counsel for the petitioner to the effect that PW 1 was not cross examined by the respondent. Hence, a report was called for from the concerned Magistrate and the same was produced stating that PW 1 was examined in chief and it is pending for cross examination.

3.Considering the request that has been made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanthapuram to expedite the trial in STC No.150 of 2020 and complete the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposal of the case, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
