O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Usilampatti in Crime No.332 of 2018 pending investigation on the file of the respondent police.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the defacto complainant and the case in Crime No.332 of 2018 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that even though the case has been registered in the year 2018, no step has been taken by the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report and therefore, he seeks a direction.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that within a month the respondent will complete the investigation and file a final report.

4. Recording the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt a copy of this orders. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry.

5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
