ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to give necessary Police Protection to the life and limb of petitioner and her family members on the basis of her representations dated 11.10.2021 and 23.06.2022.
2. The facts of the case are that there was a dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent. A complaint was preferred against the third respondent by the petitioner on 24.08.2019. The respondent Police issued CSR receipt in C.S.R.No.157 of 2019 dated 24.08.2019 to that effect. But the respondent Police had not taken any steps. Thereafter, the third respondent made a false complaint against the petitioner and FIR was registered in Crime No.352 of 2019 dated 07.12.2019. Based on the false complaint, the petitioner's husband and son were arrested and remanded to the judicial custody. The petitioner's family was facing the trial due to the false complaint. Having no other way, the petitioner preferred representations dated 11.10.2021 and 23.06.2022 to the respondent Police seeking for protection. Since, no 2/4
action was taken, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the respondent Police have received the representations and the enquiry is under progress.
4. Recording the same, this Court directs the second respondent to provide sufficient protection to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representations dated 11.10.2021 and 23.06.2022 and take suitable action on merits within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
