ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the functions viz., 27.05.2025, 28.05.2025, 29.05.2025, 31.05.2025, 01.06.2025 and 02.06.2025 and the Adal & Padal function scheduled on 27.05.2025, 28.05.2025 and 01.06.2025 at about 07.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. in Arulmigu Sri Sangili Karupasamy and Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Kovil festival at Park Town, Madurai, since the petitioner approached the respondents on 02.05.2025 and sought permission to perform the Adal and Padal function, but the respondents failed to consider the same till date.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 03.05.2025 seeking permission to conduct Aadal Paadal dance program on 2/4

27.05.2025, 28.05.2025 and 01.06.2025 in Arulmigu Sri Sangili Karupasamy and Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Kovil festival at Park Town, Madurai. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.05.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 23.05.2025. No costs.
