Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission for Adal Padal dated 01.06.2025 in temple festival namely Arulmigu Sri Pooingakalai Amman Temple situated at Kaatukottai, Thiruvauyaur Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the representation dated 09.05.2025.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission for Adal Padal dated 01.06.2025 in temple festival namely Arulmigu Sri Pooingakalai Amman Temple situated at Kaatukottai, Thiruvauyaur Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the representation dated 09.05.2025.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 09.05.2025 seeking permission to conduct Aadal Paadal dance program on 01.06.2025 in Arulmigu Sri Pooingakalai Amman Temple at Kaatukottai, Thiruvauyaur Taluk, Thanjavur District. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the 2/4

representation of the petitioner, dated 09.05.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 26.05.2025.
