ORDER

The petitioner/A2 has filed this petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.85 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent police, wherein he is said to have committed the offence under Sections 294(b), 506(i) and 427 of IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is the president of the Tamil Nadu Cable Operator Welfare Union at Thittuvizhai Branch. He has given cable connection to various places for the past 20 years. In this regard, all the accused have got enmity with the defacto complainant and they caused damage to the cable wire. On 23.03.2018, when the defacto complainant along with others went to Melakkarai Village and visited the places, the accused persons came to the scene of occurrence and scolded the defacto complainant with filthy Page No.2 of 5

languages and also threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that after completion of investigation, final report has been filed and the same was taken on file as S.T.C.No. 88 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Boothapandi.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 13.04.2023 NCC : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No Index : Yes/No cp Page No.3 of 5
