Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct "Valli Thirumanam Naadagam" on 08.06.2025 in pursuance to the festival of "Sri Karumariamman Kovil" situated in Maruthupandiyar Nagar, Madurai District on considering the petitioner's representation, dated 17.05.2025. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct "Valli Thirumanam Naadagam" on 08.06.2025 in pursuance to the festival of "Sri Karumariamman Kovil" situated in Maruthupandiyar Nagar, Madurai District on considering the petitioner's representation, dated 17.05.2025. 2.Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 17.05.2025 seeking permission to conduct "Valli Thirumanam Naadagam" on 08.06.2025 in pursuance to the festival of "Sri Karumariamman Kovil" situated in Maruthupandiyar Nagar, Madurai District. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the 2/4
