Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records of the 2nd respondent pertaining to the impugned panel list issued in Na.Ka.E7/8864/2013 dated 17.08.2017 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd respondents herein to include the petitioner's name in the 2016 promotion panel list for the post of Junior Assistant in Madurai Region and to grant promotion as Junior Assistant within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 1 and 2.

petitioner had already made a representation dated 07.09.2017 followed by a reminder dated 15.09.2017 against the impugned promotion panel list made on 17.08.2017 and also submits that it would suffice if the said representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of expeditiously within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.In the aforesaid circumstances, this Court without expressing any view on the entitlement or correctness of the claim made by the petitioner, hereby directs the second respondent to consider the representation dated 07.09.2017 made by the petitioner, taking note of the objections made by the petitioner and pass a reasoned order on merits in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file a report of compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court, within a period of one week thereafter. 5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
