Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to regularize the period of suspension of the petitioner from 18.06.2015 to 09.12.2015 with all monetary and service benefits and consequently direct the respondents herein to include the name of the petitioner in the last panel for promotion for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade - I for the year 2017 to be prepared by the respondents 1 and 2 herein placing the petitioner with original seniority in 2016 pursuant to the final orders of the 1st respondent in Proc.R.No.33985/VBI/2015 dated 18.08.2017 dropping further action in the disciplinary proceedings as charges not proved against the petitioner as per the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2017.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner had already made a representation dated 29.08.2017
against the impugned proceedings dated 18.08.2017 and further submits that it would suffice if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is disposed expeditiously by the first respondent within a time frame fixed by this Court, though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief in the writ petition.
4. Hence, without any view expressed by this Court on the entitlement or correctness of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 29.08.2017 made by the petitioner, taking into account all his objections and pass a reasoned order on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file a report of compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court, within a period of one week thereafter.
5.The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
