JUDGMENT

[Judgment of the Court was made by RMT.TEEKAA RAMAN, J.] This Writ Appeal is filed against the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.11204 of 2020, dated 09.09.2020.

2.The petitioner is the appellant herein. He has filed the writ petition seeking to appoint himself and others as the trustees of Arulmighu Swami Chidambareswarar Vagaiyara Temples on the basis of the proposal forwarded by

the third respondent/Joint Commissioner of H.R & C.E. Department, dated 05.07.2019. This Court, by an order dated 09.09.2020 directed the second respondent to finalise the issue by convening a common general body meeting and to take a decision and thereafter, the H.R. & C.E. Department is directed to finalise the list.

3.Aggrieved against the said order, the petitioner has preferred this writ appeal.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that in exercise of powers conferred under Section 47(1) (a)(iii) of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, nonhereditary trustees have been selected based on the Government Order in G.O (P)No.178, dated 24.07.2023.

5.We find that since the order has been duly complied with, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ appeal.

6.Accordingly, this Writ Appeal is dismissed. However, it is open to the appellant/petitioner to challenge the above said order of G.O., if he is so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
