O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed by the writ petitioner, seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the representation given by the Petitioner dated 16.04.2022.
2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner owns various agricultural land measuring around 100 acres situated at A.Thirumalapuram Village, Tirunelveli District. The accused persons namely, Ramachandran, Murugan and Muthukannan, who are history sheeted rowdies, are illegally attempting to grab the properties of the petitioner situated at A.Thirumalapuram Village, Tirunelveli District. In this regard, the petitioner and his brother preferred a complaint against the aforesaid accused persons and case was registered in Crime No.385 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 506(ii) I.P.C. such circumstances, the accused persons gave a life threats to the petitioner in various manner. In this regard, the petitioner given a representation dated 16.04.2022 seeking for Police protection.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that having received the representation, the respondent Police is now ready to consider the representation dated 16.04.2022 given by the petitioner.
4. Recording the same, this Court directs the second respondent to provide sufficient protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2022 as expeditiously as possible.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
