Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the 4th respondent on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 05.08.2017 and 24.09.2017 regarding illegal disconnection of the petitioner's cable TV line in Sengundram Nagar, Madurai. ORDER
The prayer in the Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the 4th respondent on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 05.08.2017 and 24.09.2017 regarding illegal disconnection of the petitioner's cable TV line in Sengundram Nagar, Madurai.
2.Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the second respondent. 3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.Mr.M.,Saravanan,learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner is a Cable TV Operator and he lodged a complaint against the fourth respondent for disconnecting the Petitioner's cable TV lines to the respondents 1 to 3. Since no action was taken, the present Writ Petition is filed. 5.In the light of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to take action based on the the complaints given by the Petitioner, dated 5.8.2017 and 24.09.
2017 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the same, after giving notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
