************ The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name L.Adhinarayanan, son of T.Lakshmanan from the History Sheet maintained by them in H.S.No.498/2010 based on his representation dated 20.09.2017.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's name has been included in the History Sheet maintained by them in H.S.No.498/2010. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to remove his name from the history sheet.

5.In view of the above, without going into the merits or the contentions raised by the petitioner, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.09.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
