ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent, the District Collector, Thanjavur, to dispose of an appeal dated 04.02.2022 seeking enhancement of compensation for acquisition of land in R.S.No.20/2, (as per present sub Division 20/2B) of Senganoor Village, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanajvur District. 2.The land had been acquired for laying four way lane in Project Sethiyar Thoppy - Cholapuram Highway, NH45-C.

3.A perusal of the records show that the first respondent had addressed a letter to the second respondent in nk.K:.k.vz;.01/2022$1, dated 10.08.2022, in this regard.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents states that the second respondent had not yet forwarded the report. A direction is given to the second respondent, to forward the report as directed 2/4

by the first respondent, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, the first respondent on receipt of such report, may endeavour to dispose of the appeal within a further period of eight weeks. I consciously did not state the merits of the case, since it is under the purview of the second respondent.
