: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent ie., the Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2016 regarding sanction of compounding interest for the belated payment of DCRG under Rule 45 A of the Pension Ruled from 01.07.2002 to 05.02.2016 and other retirement benefits such as Commutation of Pension and Encashment of Leave Salary within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.Mr.S.Sathish Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.The petitioner has made a representation dated 25.05.2016 to the respondents claiming sanction of compounding interest for the belated payment of DCRG under Rule 45 A of the Pension Rules from 01.07.2002 to 05.02.2016 and also in respect of other benefits. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In the aforesaid circumstances, this Court without expressing any view on the entitlement and correctness of the claim made by the petitioner, hereby directs the second respondent to forward the representation made by the petitioner dated 25.05.2016 to the first respondent, who shall consider the same and pass a reasoned order on merits in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file a report of compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court, within a period of one week thereafter. 5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
