Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
2. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, by consent of parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the property in Survey No.88/9 measuring an extent of 1 acre 68 cents situated at Periya Aalangulam Village, Tiruparankundram, Madurai District, which was purchased by him from one Balusamy through a registered sale deed in document No.756/93 dated 01.03.1993, on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Madurai. Pursuant to the same, the petitioner had given a representation to the first respondent on 16.12.2016. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. Since the competent Authority to consider change of patta in the name of the petitioner is the second respondent, the petitioner is granted liberty to make a fresh representation to the second respondent for change of patta and on receipt of the same, the second respondent shall consider the same on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While passing such order, the second respondent shall give prior notice to the petitioner as well as the petitioner's vendor Balusamy.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
