Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.KAMESWARAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Government Advocate(crl.side) on behalf of the Respondent the Court made the following order:- This petition has been filed seeking extension of time granted in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7042 of 2021 dated 02.06.2021, for producing sureties.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the petitioner could not arrange sureties in time. Now, the petitioner is willing to pay a sum of Rs.3,000/- to the credit of Government of Tamil Nadu, CMPRF in IOB, Secretariat Branch, Chennai-9(Account No.11720 10000 00070), IFSC Code: IOBA0001172), within a period of two weeks.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the State.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed and the time is extended by two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for the petitioner to comply with the order dated 02.06.2021 made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7042 of 2021 on condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) to the credit of Government of Tamil Nadu, CMPRF in IOB, Secretariat Branch, Chennai-9 (Account No.11720 10000 00070), IFSC Code: IOBA0001172), within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
