Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing 1st and 2nd respondents to take suitable action to forbear the election process by considering the representation dated 07.05.2025 by taking into account of the by laws of MELMANDAI PETHANANAKSHI PERIYANDAVAR SWAMI KUMBIDUM NADARGAL SANGAM and provision of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 in time bound manner and appoint a special Officer by superseding the committee as per section 34-A of Tamil Nadu Societies registration Act, 1975 for contravention of the provisions of the Act and Rules made thereunder.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate suitable action to forebear the election to be conducted for Melmandai Pethananakshi Periyandavar Swami Kumbidum Nadargal Sangam.

2.This Court is not inclined to consider issuing a positive direction to the authorities. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has given a representation on 07.05.2025, the second respondent is directed to consider said representation and pass orders or or before 31.05.2025 after affording opportunity to both the parties.

3.The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
