By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide the medical reimbursement to the tune of Rs.1,77,108/- (One Lakh Seventy Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eight Rupees only) to the petitioner sanctioned vide proceedings issued by the respondent No.2 vide Rc.No.36712/NHIS-1/2021 dated 01.06.2022. 2/6
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner suffered from Covid-19 disease and spent a sum of Rs.1,77,108/- (One Lakh Seventy Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eight Rupees only) towards medical expenses. In this regard, she made a claim, which was also approved by the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, through the proceedings dated 01.06.2022. It was sent to the Divisional Manager, United India Insurance Company, for taking necessary action. Even thereafter, no steps have been taken to pay reimbursement of medical expenses. She submitted a representation to the respondents on 27.06.2022. Even the representation has also not yielded any positive result, which resulted in filing this writ petition. 4.Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.A.
Sivanupandian, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.C.Karthic, learned counsel takes notice for the third respondent. 5.It is seen from the proceedings of the second respondent in Rc.No. 36712/NHIS-1/2021 dated 01.06.
for the amount of Rs.1,77,108/- (One Lakh Seventy Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eight Rupees only). It is now represented that the aforesaid amount has not been paid, despite giving representation dated 27.06.2022. Therefore, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
