PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus calling for the records relating tot he LL.M.degree final semester re-do impugned order dated 25.05.2023 passed by the third respondent and quash the same and to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2023 and further direct the third respondent to allow the petitioner to write final semester upcoming LL.M degree examinations, June 2023 conducted by the first respondent.

ORDER

The petitioner is a student of Tirunelveli Law College, studying LL.M degree. This writ petition is filed challenging the orders of the Principal of the college dated 25.05.2023 directing the petitioner to re-do final semester. 2.The petitioner as party - in person appears through video conferencing and submits that due to lack of attendance he could not appear in the examination, however, 11 such persons have been permitted to write examinations, where as the petitioner alone was not permitted to write the examinations and was directed to re-do the course.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 submits that the petitioner is a student of Tirunelveli Law College, pursuing a regular law course, but he attended the class only 5 days for the semester. Due to shortage of the required attendance the impugned order came to be passed 4.The Professor / Guide for the petitioner is also present before this Court and submits that this petitioner has appeared before her only once and for want of required attendance, the petitioner was not permitted to appear in the examinations and directed to re-do the course.

5.The petitioner is pursuing regular course and without the required attendance, this Court cannot give any direction to the respondents as prayed for. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitioner is closed.
