This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2017, which was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent.
2. The case of the petitioner is that after the demise of his father, the legal heirs including the petitioner are jointly in possession of the property in question and when he approached the Village Administrative Office for the purpose of property tax, he was instructed to include his name in the patta and also rectify his father's correct name, which was mistakenly recorded in chitta as Ponnikuppan instead of Vellaikuppan. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.04.2017 to the 1st respondent, which, in turn was forwarded to the 2nd respondent on 03.05.2017 for suitable action. Thereafter, there was no progress on the matter and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.
3. The learned Government Advocate would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the 1st respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
orders passed.
4. In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents, preferably the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.
5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
