ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed directing the second respondent to conduct a preliminary enquiry by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2022.
2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the persons namely, Sasikumar and Karthik runs the Lime Tree Spa and Saloon at Thirunagar Madurai. They have invited the petitioner for providing franchise of their business. In pursuant to the same, the petitioner paid Rs.5,00,000/- to the above said persons for getting franchise. But till date they neither provide franchise nor return the money. Later, the petitioner came to know that the accused persons have cheated many persons by saying that they are giving franchise of their business. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint dated 04.05.2022 to take appropriate action against the accused persons. Since no action was taken, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that a complaint has been received and the enquiry has been conducted. The respondent Police issued summon to the accused persons and it is returned stating that the accused persons were not found in the address given by the complainant.
4. Recording the same, the second respondent police is hereby directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner on 04.05.2022 within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and take suitable action on merits.
5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
