************ The present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner for the appointment to the post of Drinking Water Supply and Maintenance Employee as called for by the third respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.35 of 2016 dated 10.05.2017.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents that one Mr.Pandi has been appointed to the post for which the petitioner now claims.

3.Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to challenge the appointment of the said Pandi and file a comprehensive Writ Petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

4.Recording the said endorsement, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
