ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the the learned Additional District Judge No.1,Thoothukudi to dispose S.C.No.124/2020 time frame by this Court in accordance with law. 2.The petitioner is facing trial before the trial Court in Crime No. 227 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 362, 397 of IPC @ 341, 362, 120-B, 397, 414 of IPC @ 341, 170, 364(!), 506(ii), 364(A), r/w 395, 395 r/w 397, 395 r/w 114, 120B IPC.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there is no Presiding Officer for the post of Additional District Judge No. 1,Thoothukudi.

4.Considering the oldness of the crime, let the Presiding Officer, who holds the additional charge of the above said post of Additional District Judge No.1, Thoothukudi, take up the trial process in S.C.No. 124 of 2020 and complete the same within a period of five months from 2/4

the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
