PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 7 to survey the petitioner's land in Patta No.934 comprised in S.No. 92/1B with an extent of 0.1.64 ares i.e.4 cents situated at K.Chennampatti Village, Kallikudi Taluk of Madurai District on the basis of petitioner's fee paid Challan No.2030403006702 dated 26.04.2023 and representation dated 02.06.2023. 2/6

The Writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction particularly to the Tahsildar, Kallikudi Taluk Office, Madurai, and the Head Surveyor, Kallikudi, attached to the same Tahsildar Office, to survey the land of the petitioner in Patta No.934 in Survey No.92/1B measuring 0.1.64 ares equivalent to 4 cents at K.Chennampatti Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District. The petitioner had given a representation on 02.06.2023 and had also paid necessary fees on 26.04.2023.
2. The petitioner has also impleaded as respondents 8 to 11, the adjacent land owners who are apparently interfering with possession of the petitioner herein.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader states that the patta stands in the name of the petitioner herein.

A direction is therefore, given to the respondents 2 and 3, to issue notice to the petitioner and also to the respondents 8 to 11 Sonairaj and Velluchamy both sons of Karrupiah Thever and Gurunathan and Murugan both sons of Ponnuchamy, all residing at K.Chennampatti Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District and thereafter, if there are no objections, proceed to survey the lands. If there are objections, objections may be noted and the reasons may be given to the petitioner herein. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
