ORDER

Considering the limited nature of relief granted in this writ petition, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner is a service provider. According to him, the respondent is the recipient of the service and that the respondent is liable to pay service tax. The petitioner, however, is receiving notice from the Department. Therefore, he wants to know whether the respondent has remitted service tax or not. In this regard, he gave a representation dated 10.08.2018 to the respondent. But the respondent is yet to respond. That necessitated the filing of this writ petition.

3.Taking note of the facts obtaining in this case, this Court directs the respondent to communicate to the petitioner in response to his representation dated 10.08.2018. The respondent will respond to the query raised by the petitioner in his representation dated 10.08.2018, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
