ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 31.05.2017 and to issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner.

2.Heard both sides. By consent on either side, this writ petition is taken up for the final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the land in survery No.163/3C1 and 163/3B situated at K.Sawyerpuram, Kattalangulam Village were purchased in the name of petitioner's wife in the year 1997, by a registered sale deed. In the above said property, two houses were constructed and door number was allotted as 3/112. He has been paying house tax till day and house tax receipts and the electricity connection stand in the petitioner's name. While so, the petitioner's wife died on 21.01.2012. The petitioner in order to change the name in the revenue records, sent a representation on 31.05.2017 to the respondent, seeking issuance of separate patta in his name, in view of the the joint patta No.1674 earlier issued by the respondent. representation. Being Ex-service man and senior citizen, he has been put into irreparable loss and hardships. Hence, he has been constrained to approach this Court, seeking a direction to the respondent to issue separate patta in the petitioner's name. 4.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, the learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent and would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
