Heard Mr.S.Manikandan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mr.V.R.Shumuganathan, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3.Though the petitioner has sought for a positive direction to promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Registrar with all other attendant benefits in the second respondent university w.e.f. 08.04.2010 i.e. date on which juniors were promoted, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 07.01.2016, in the considered view of this Court, it would suffice to direct that the said representation be dispassionately considered on merits in accordance with law and a reasoned order be passed by the second respondent and communicated to the petitioner and the compliance of the same be reported to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court on or before 30.11.2017.

4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
